Personality:  Among a group of people, Lani will probably be the less likely to get things done first. This girl claims that her lifestyle does not admit rushes and that things need their time to get done. She somehow lives by the motto "Don't do it today if you can do it tomorrow" She's a very relaxed and laid back person, sometimes to the point of being too relaxed. This often results in her being really prone to procastination and, oh the irony, being in a hurry to get everything done on the last minute. 
For most of the time she looks like a happy-go-lucky girl, always saying how good is to live your life smoothly, without worries, and enjoying its simple things. She doesn't like problems and tries to follow her own beat, sometimes being over-confident in herself. However, she usually takes this the wrong way, not listening to what others have to say, or not caring about what they think. She will often avoid arguments by doing things her way, which usually isn't a good idea, since she's awful for planning ahead. On the other hand, when things start to go fail for her she'll probably accept her mistake.
She's also very spiritual and believes that somehow, everything is conditioned by legendary Pokemon, like her culture says.
The Treecko also tries to avoid anger in all the ways she can since her powers were discovered, since it proved to be a trigger to...not so good events...

Lani is, in simple words, a walking volcano. Silent and dormant most of the time, dangerous when her power is awake. When anger gets the best of her, making her losing control, her power will show up, transforming her body into lava. The transformation may be preceded by little earthquakes around her, and spirals of smoke coming out of the Treecko's mouth. The first times it happened, Lani would only become a little, uncontrolled puddle of lava with no form. For now, she can take a consistent form (a lava version of herself), but is likely to go back into a puddle when moving around, which is easier for her. She is also able to solidify parts or her body into rock, although she can't control that ability properly.

History: Lani was born 16 years ago on a bright and sunny day. Her hometown, located in a group of tropical islands called the Aqua Islands, somewhere in the sea of Hoenn, witnessed the arrival of the baby girl to a Sceptile mother and Charizard father. The Rarahu family was thrilled with their new member, a calm, happy and healthy kid. She never had any brothers or sisters, although a lot of cousins made their way into the family on the following years.

Lani's childhood was pretty normal and barely had any incidents. She grew up in the traditional ways of her family and their peculiar island culture. She soon learnt about legendary Pokemon, about how they created the Earth and commanded the elements around them. The Treecko believed almost everything she was told, whcih made her have a huge respect for nature and all of their creatures. She used to roam the island with the company of her best friend, an Oshawott named Pohaku. She also had a specially good relationship with her Charizard father. Both spent quite a lot of their free time together, often watching the starts at night.

However, as the girl went into her teens, something started to change on her body. It wasn't just the usual change of that age, but something else. Sometimes, when she was upset, a burning sensation would start to appear in her stomach, sometimes to the point of seemingly making her spit smoke out of her mouth. Lani, being the carefree person she was, tried not to worry over what she thought wasn't an important event. Unfortunatley for her, that wasn't the case.

One day, the Treecko tried to talk to her parents about going to study abroad for a year. She sure loved her home and the island, but she wanted more. To learn new things, meet new people, visiting new places. Her mother unfortunately didn't agree with it, always with their traditional beliefs. This resulted in an argument between the two of them, with Lani getting angry like she had never done before. This went on for some minutes, until the Treecko, almost literally, exploded.
Her body wasn't that of a Grass Pokémon anymore. It had turned into a puddle of molten rock and fire, running uncontrolled around the house. Luckily the family managed to get out unharmed, but their home soon caught on fire and burned to ashes. Once Lani got back to normal after calming down, she wasn't the same. What had she done? She had destroyed her own home! She was a monster! Some members of the family, never hearing of superpowers, even thought she was the reincarnation of some volcano god, which didn't make her feel better at all.
However, her parents refused to believe that her daughter was evil. There had to be an explanation for that...The solution to the problem came by the hand of a friend pf the family, known for his journeys around the world. After recieving a call from the two worried parents, he quickly made them a visit, and explained that he had seen others with such abilities in other places. And they were not monters, they were heroes! And there was also a place where these special people could learn to use their powers: Pillar Academy. Greatly relieved, both parents and daugther agreed to look for this school. This made life bright again for the young Treecko, who was still a bit scared by her powers. But now, at least she knew she could live with them.

Extras:
- Comes from a rather peculiar culture, with some particular beliefs about legendary Pokemon.
- She was actually influenced by Maori and Polynesian culture, which I really like.
- Her names are all of Polynesian/Hawaiian origin, meaning: Hokulani (star in the sky) and Rarahu (the sun)
- Is a lover of nature, although she also likes modern stuff (especially the internet!)
- Has a sun tatto on her back. It was a tradition in her family that every member has this sun tattooed somewhere in their bodies, due to the family name meaning "the sun". This is also why every new member is given the TM Sunny Day.
- She's bisexual.
- Due to the fire nature of her power, her only Grass type move, Energy Ball, is really weak.
- She has a hatred for cold stuff. Chilly weather is one of the few things that puts her in a bad mood for sure.
- Likes to climb onto things, especially trees.
- Is a total fangirl for ancient legends, and she believes them all, which is not always good.
- Likes to stargaze now and then.
- The shell on her necklace is a gift from her friend Pohaku (now a Dewott)
